Alacrity should have artist applications. I hate to sa it but I really don't want to get NOTICED by people who are hardly online. I always wanted to be apart of the staff a artist is what i'm good at. Be honest do you want to wait years for someone to notice you? They should ask you to draw a dog or human being. Please support

((@Nelly, yea I'm really unaware of the artist selection. I only really noticed when Xylax got hired, but the others were because of Hel leaving and yea, I apologize for any false info D:))

No support.
You don't really need to sell your art, Al. It's kind of different.

Basically, you just need to show your art matches Ala's style. You can do this by making CAs, and that's one of the best ways to do it.
Carni (or any artist of the site) can notice you, and then can bring you up at the next artist meeting. Carni most likely has the final say in artists. If you're accepted, you're messaged with an offer of becoming a site artist.

Also, when you accept, you have to draw certain items that Carni assigns you. Remember when Rixon was made an artist ? She had to draw the Ghost Ship background, Falling cherry blossoms and the King Cheetah item. So that is kind of asking you to draw items...kind of like a test.

Some people are noticed quickly (Xylax), others are noticed slowly (Cord and Rix). It all takes time. Don't expect to be chosen because 'you're good'. There may not even be available spots.

//e

And yes Al, their tag is the dogs from Mutt-z.

(Isn't your tag from a sim game logo?))

I don't support.

Simply because people do know what they are looking for. Alacriy has a number of artists already, and I think they will end up getting swarmed by people who believe their art is high quality, and then they have to turn them down.

I've been around for nearly 3 years now and I've been happy withe every artist that has been selected. You (in general speaking) get picked, I am nearly sure, because

A. You're selling art to begin with (or you're posting your own)

B. Your art level is high quality. Ala began with Heleasher's work, and that's top notch work right there (for example look at the Amur Leopard, corgi and german shepherd lines, the Jaguar CA, etc.)

C. You are active in the commmunity

D. You have advertised sales though other sites such as PSU (I know that most sims use PSU to find artists, don't know if ala does)

If we have an application process, I just find it unncessary since all of the work gets done already with the number we have already. If anything, I'd think we'd need more coders.

If you want to be a part of this site, I'd say to look for when newbie helper spots open up C:
